LCC-MFB West Norwood fire station SE27
Built by the Metropolitan Board of Works (the forerunner of the London County Council), West Norwood fire station opened in 1881, located in Norwood High Street, near Knights Hill. It was one of the peripheral stations of the Brigade, bordering onto Penge and Croydon fire brigade areas. The station closed in 1916 with the opening of the new West Norwood fire in Norwood Road. The former station still stands and is used by a community theatre company
