NFS (London Region) Salvage Corps in action, WW2

The London Salvage Corps was not part of the London Fire Brigade but operated in harmony with it. It came under the umbrella of the NFS during WW2 and operated from its headquarters station 2X at Watling Street in the City of London. Here salvage operators are sheeting up the contents of a warehouse affected by fire, to prevent the goods from being damaged by water used to extinguish the blaze
