Getting ready for school - The Promotion of Health Poster

Idyllic domestic scene inside a family kitchen. Older children are getting ready for school and while one daughter of the house sits and has her hair brushed by mother, another conscientiously washes her hands in a downstairs bathroom. Son of the house, smart in his school uniform, dutifully polishes his shoes and a chubby baby is already out in the garden in a pram, cheerfully shaking a rattle. Grandma does the washing up and even the cat tends to her kittens in a basket underneath the table. No sign of a patriarchal presence but presumably he's the sole breadwinner and has already gone off to work
