The restaurant of the newly-opened May Fair hotel in Stratton Street, Mayfair, London showing people seated at tables and others on the dancefloor. The restaurant was panelled in highly polished sycamore bordered with blue glass and mouldings picked out with silver leaf. The furniture was of blue lacquer to match the pillars and mouldings and upholstered with apricot silk sprigged with flowers in the 18th century
