Shooting Box to Let Furnished

Amusing illustration showing a sign which had genuinely been hung outside a dug-out in France. A photograph of it had been sent to its former tenant, a soldier in Llandudno Red Cross Hospital. It reads, To be let - attractive, well-built dug-out. One receipt/kitchen/bedroom/funkhole, 4 ft by 3 ft. All modern conveniences, water and gas stands one foot above water level. Excellent view of the enemy trenches (snipe and duck).
