Volumes of silhouettes by August Edouart
A group of volumes containing 5, 579 English portraits taken from 1825 - 1839 and 3, 625 American portraits taken from 1839 to 1845 by the famous (and prolific) silhouette artist, August Edouart. He used them for exhibition purposes and also as records, as a photographer keeps his negatives
