Best Dressed Girl Competition
Vic Feather, leader of the TUC, announces the winner of the Best Dressed Girl Competition at a dance. The winner is wearing a flared knee length dress with a wide belt. On the left are the playwright Arnold Wesker and his assistant Beba Lavrin. This event took place at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, as part of the Centre 42 arts into factories movement, founded in 1961 as a result of a TUC resolution to bring the arts to the people -- Wesker was its Artistic Director
