The British at Leisure series - London to Brighton Rally
Before setting off on the London to Brighton Vintage Car Rally - 4th November 1962. The car featured ia a 1903 George Richard (the owner is a member of the V.C.C. - the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain). Georges Richard (1863-1922) was a French racing driver and automobile industry pioneer. Photograph from "The British at Leisure" series of 310 colour photos, originally intended to be shown repeating across five screens. The series was commissioned by the architect Theo Crosby for the Milan Triennale in 1964 and was originally accompanied by a jazz piece by Johnny Scott
