Peter Kao, Missions to Seamen
Peter Kao, a Chinese lay reader with The Missions to Seamen, chats with a Chinese sailor in the Victoria Docks Institute (probably the Boyd Working Men's Institute), Port of London. Peter Kao later became the society's first Chinese chaplain. The Missions to Seamen (renamed The Mission to Seafarers in 2000) is an international Anglican mission serving mariners and sailors in over 230 ports around the world, first established in the 19th century
