Sophie Harris of Motley Theatre Design
Sophie Devine (nee Harris) (1900-1966), of the Motley Theatre Design Group. The other two members were Sophie's sister Margaret Percy Harris (1904-2000) and Elizabeth Wilmot (1902-1993). The Motleys collaborated with John Gielgud during the 1930s, designed sets and costumes for theatre and film projects over several decades, and won two Tony Awards for their work
