General Thomas Jonathan Jackson, born in Clarksburg, Harrison County, Va. Jany. 21st 1824. Wounded in both arms at Chancellorsville, Virginia by the fire of a South Carolina Regiment who mistook his escort for Federal Cavalry; his left arm was amputated the same evening and he died at Guinea's station, on the Richmond and Fredericksburg Railroad, May 10th 1863
