Ben Hur, a play by William Young, after the novel by Lew Wallace (1880). First produced in England at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London, April 1902. This depiction is based on the famous poster after Alexander von Wagner's painting, The Chariot Race, but with Klaw and Erlanger's Stupendous Production replaced by Mr George Dance's Co. Touring to the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth, March 1913(?)
