The Breed of the Treshams by John Rutherford (Evelyn Greenleaf Sutherland and Beulah Marie Dix). First produced in Newcastle on 28th September and at the Kennington Theatre on 7th December 1903. The caption reads, Mr Martin Harvey as Reresby the Rat'. Reresby, an adventurer in the English Civil War, staggers from the torture chamber looking traumatised. His clothes are in tatters. (Act II).
