Delightful, at the Gaiety Theatre, Macedonia
Delightful first produced at the "Gaiety Theatre", Macedonia in 1918. The caption reads "Weston Drury as Ferdie Fittitt". Sergeant Weston Drury wrote many of the productions at the Gaiety Theatre, including the pantomimes in which he would play the dame. He died aged 91 on 15th February 1983. The First World War troops in Macedonia were remarkable for their amateur theatricals. Their pantomimes were even printed in book form. The unstamped reverse has: "With love to Grace from Percy, Routschouk, Dec 1918, Bulgaria"
