An Emperor's Divorce. The figures of Napoleon and a repining Josephine suggest that this is a version of "A Royal Divorce". The message written on the reverse of the card is from Ronald Bayne, who was playing Napoleon, to a fellow actor at the Palace Theatre, Attercliffe, Sheffield, regretting that Bayne missed him "at G". Postmarked Scarborough, 23rd October 1908
