A Gentleman of England by Ernest E. Norris and Fewlass Llewellyn. First produced at the Elephant and Castle theatre, 2nd December 1904. The image shows Bernard J. Liell's Company with Georgette Thierry as the wicked Claudia. Touring to the Palace Theatre, Newcastle, beginning on 4th December 1905. The Englishman, in deerstalker and "Daily Mail" under his arm, defeats tyranny on the continent helped by being the double of another key character
