Hamlet by Wiliam Shakespeare by The Follies
Promotional postcard of Hamlet "as performed by The Follies'" The image of Hamlet smoking is a parody of the poster of the H. B. Irving production, as was the whole production. The reverse describes the "highly successful burlesque" as a musical comedy. It was played with "Bill Bailey" and the Follies "celebrated Vaudeville Entertainment" including "skits on musical comedy, Wagnerian opera &c". Touring to King's Theatre, Hammersmith, 19th June 1905
