Hardacre J. Pitt An important touring manager in the decades around 1900, he used his notepaper to advertise his repertoire. This letter, from the Comedy Theatre, Manchester, is dated November 1894. "East Lynne" and "The Shaughraun" are still in the repertoire "Jack Shepherd" and "The Ticket-of-Leave Man" are of the same vintage.
