First produced as "The Bride of Lammermoor" from Walter Scott's novel (1819), at the King's Theatre, Glasgow, 23rd March and the Adelphi Theatre, 5th October 1908.This image shows the end of the play as three hags look down to the hero's hat, all that remains of him after he has been sucked into the quicksand of the Kelpe's Flow, as they prophesied. Touring to Grand Opera House, Belfast, 28th October 1909
