Promotional postcard for Mrs Pomeroy's Reputation by Horace Annesely Vachell and Thomas Cobb. First produced at the King's Theatre, Hammersmith, 9th April and Queen's Theatre, 4th July 1917. Artist: Wilton Williams. The use of a coloured poster of Violet Vanbrugh's is a tribute to her stature as a star. It was confirmed by the first night audience which cheered her first entry and smothered her with flowers at the end of the acts
