Promotional postcard for The New Clown by H. M. Paull. First produced at the Grand Theatre, Margate, 3rd February and Terry's Theatre, 8th February 1902.The show depended on the comic gifts of James Welch. He played an effeminate lord who thinks he is a murderer and becomes a circus clown to escape detection. This design was also used to advertise "George Dance's Company"
