The Purple Mask at the Scala Theatre, adapted by Matheson Lang from Le Chevalier du Masque by Paul Armont and Jean Manoussi (1913). First produced at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, 22 April, and the Lyric Theatre, 10 July 1918. Matheson Lang played a Scarlet Pimpernel-esque character
