Shadows of a Great City by Joseph Jefferson and L R Sherwell. First produced in England, at the Princess's Theatre, 14 July 1887. Later on tour to Opera House, Haverhill, New Hampshire from 19 October 1908. On the left is Nellie rowing a boat. On the right is the sensational scene at the end of Act II when the hero rescues Nellie from the prison on Blackwell's Island
