Promotional postcard for If Winter Comes by A. S. M. Hutchison and B. Macdonald Hastings from Hutchison's novel (1921) of that name. First produced at the Hippodrome, Margate, 3rd August 1922 and St. James's Theatre, 31st January 1923. As the text indicates, the title refers to "O Wind, /If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?" (Shelley, "Ode to the West Wind"). It included the portrait of Owen Nares, who was then the star. Touring to Theatre Royal, Brighton, 7th August 1922
