Harold Sydney Bride - wireless operator on the Titanic

Harold Sydney Bride (1890-1956), Titanic survivor. Bride was the second wireless operator on the Titanic, and was reported to have dealt with a man who tried to steal the first operator's lifebelt. Washed overboard and suffering badly from frost bite, Bride was rescued by the Carpathia and continuted to help with wireless operations on board, transmitting survivor lists and personal messages. He gave evidence as a key witness at the Senatorial inquiry following the disaster.
