Le cric de la France. Allegorical print shows a female figure representing France wearing a helmet, breastplate, and shield emblazoned with fleur-de-lis, and holding a spear which rests on a liberty cap on the ground; she is turning a crank which raises a crown mounted on a shaft. A broken corinthian capital lies on the ground between her and the hand crank. Date 1795
