Brassica campestris - field mustard
Brassica campestris, field mustard, found on the edge of a cornfield approximately 500 feet above sea level on the South Downs in Sussex. 1. Flower from above (x1.5), 2. Flower from side (x2), 3. Main stem showing flowers seed pods and leaves, the large lower leaves having minute stiff hairy spikes, the stem leaves clasp the stem with projecting rounded aurioles. 4. Seed pod unripe, 5. Seed unripe (x5), 6. Portion of ripe seed pod with seeds (x3), 7. Ripe pod. B and H No 80, Dandy 67/3
