Centaurium littorale - seaside centaury. Found in one patch on Sinah Common, Hayling Island, Hants. 1. Half section of stem leaf (x4), 2. Corolla opened (x6), 3. Flower bud and calyx (x6), 4. Calyx (x9), 5. Plant which vary in side from 1.5 inches to 5 inches, a few branched but mostly simple, stem leaves veined some have a faint side vein. 6. Calyx and capsule (x7), 7. Radical leaf which have very small irregular teeth not seen at this magnification (x2.5). Butcher and Strudwick No 250, Dandy 382/6
