Quercus sessiliflora - commonly known as the sessile oak, Cornish oak, or durmast oak. From Dulwich Wood (a relic of the old North Wood which extended from Camberwell to Croydon). 1. Twig showing acorns and leaves and buds. 2. Stellate hair (x35). 3. Portion of underside of leaf (x3). 4. Bud scale which is ciliate (x10). 5. Bud (x4). 6. Twig showing male and female catkins. 7.
