Construction of Lenin's Temporary Mausoleum
A temporary but elaborate wooden mausoleum was quickly built on Red Square in Moscow to hold Vladimir Lenin's Body following his death in 1924. The mausoleum proved immensely popular with tourists, and in 1930 the construction of a new stone tomb on the same site was finished, kept in this tomb Lenin's body could be preserved for longer and seen by many more people
