WW1 - Russian Women's Battalion of Death
A tea break on the front taken by members of the famous Battalion of Death, composed entirely of Russian women and led by Madame Bochkareva. The battalion famously stood and fought during the great retreat in Galicia while other divisions retreated, and each girl carried a dose of cyanide of potassium to take in the event of capture
