Assassination attempt on Jacob Bronnum Scavenius Estrup, a Danish politician who was Council President and Finance Minister from 1875-1894. AStrup survived the assassiantion attempt and went on to pass various laws restricting the press, restricting the right to own arms, and broadening the powers of the police.~~
