Boulton and Park at the Strand Theatre, London
Ernest Boulton and Frederick William Park, also known as Stella and Fanny, in female dress at the Strand Theatre, London, where they were arrested for incitement to commit an unnatural offence, by going around London at night in women's clothes. As the wearing of women's clothes was not an offence, and homosexual activity could not be proved, they were acquitted at their trial in 1871
