CAPT. CHARLES HAROLD LONGFIELD BEATTY (1870 - 1917), Trainer at Newmarket. Won his 1st steeplechase at 20 and went on to ride many winners. Served with the Mounted Infantry during WWI and was severely wounded at St. Eloi, April, 1916 and died of wounds 17 May, 1917. Caption: Charlie
