Cartoon, The Seven-league boots; or, Death of Giant Monopoly. A satirical comment on the repeal of the Corn Laws, depicting Sir Robert Peel, Prime Minister, wearing the boots and holding the shield of Free Trade. The left boot shows the face of Cobden, and the right boot shows the face of Bright, both of whom promoted Free Trade principles and helped to push the repeal through Parliament
