The Champion's Armour

The Champion's Armour. This suit was made for Sir Christopher Hatton in 1585. It is of purple steel with etched and gilded decoration. It figured at the coronation of George I and sold in 1877. At King Edward VII's succession, it was bought by a few of his friends and restored to the Royal Collection at Windsor
