Christmas at Windsor Castle 1846
Interesting engraving of Queen Victoria at Windsor Castle in the drawing-room, presenting gifts to her guests in 1846. The room was surrounded by several German Christmas trees nearly eight feet in height, placed in green stands, some frosted to resemble icicles and snow and others were beautifully ornamented with decorations and each tree brilliantly lighted with seventy-two wax candles and suspended with bon-bons, enclosed in tastefully ornamented bags and boxes for presents for guests
