Costume February 1864

Mother with child, woman wearing light brown silk dress trimmed with ornamental fringe, which was sewn on in a wave above the fringe. High bodice pointed at the waist; the sleeves are cut with a seam down the outside of the arm and are trimmed to correspond with the skirt. Girl wearing silk grey dress, ornamented with a band of blue silk around the edge of skirt. Bodies is composed of a waistcoat with pockets and a jacket rounded at the front
