The centrifugal railway was an early form of rollercoaster, a loop-the-loop, on which a carriage of nearly 200lbs, containing a lady or gentleman, descends an inclined plane, passing round a vertical circle...turning the head of the individual downwards, and feet in the air...at the rate of 100 miles an hour
