Henry Farman flying Farman III biplane during the Grand Prix de la Champagne a week of competition held at Rheims, France. Farman achieved the longest flight, broken three times during the competition, in his heavier-than-air biplane, flying one hundred eighteen miles in three and half minutes, receiving the prize of £2000
