H.H. Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh / Stamp

Lieutenant-General MAHARAJA SRI SIR PRATAP SINGH SAHIB BAHADUR OF IDAR (1845 - 1922). A career British Indian Army soldier, Maharaja of the princely state of Idar and heir to Ahmednagar from 1902 to 1911, when he abdicated in favor of his adopted son. A warrior of the British Empire, was a friend to Queen Victoria, serving as aide-de-camp to Edward VII and was a close friend of the future King George V
