The home of Joseph Nicephore Niepce (1765 - 1833) in Chalon-sur-Sa"ne, France. French inventor. Niepce was a pioneer in the technological development of photography. He developed the process of Heliography, which produced the oldest surviving product from a photographic process. After serving as am officer in the French army, Niepce returned to his family home in Chalon to continue his scientific research
