Kaiser Wilhelm II (1859-1941) on the Hohenzollern yacht in July 1914. He left his favourite summer retreat on the Sogne Fjord in Norway to return to Germany when the Austro-Serbian situation had become acute and threatened to embroil other Powers (the outbreak of World War I)
