The Kings and Queens of England

Colour supplement in the Boy's Own Paper, 1887 of Kings and Queen of England (up to Queen Victoria, who appears as a bust in the top right hand corner), from a watercolour drawing by A. Chasemore. Queen Elizabeth I, her father King Henry VIII and King George IV take centre stage (with little Edward V listening in, oblivious to his fiendish uncle, Richard III peering over the shoulder of Henry V). Charles I looks a little annoyed to be ignored so strikes his best van Dyck pose, while Charles II appears to be chatting up Queen Mary. Maybe they're discussing Catholic doctrine?
