Launch of R.M.S. Queen Mary, Clydebank
Up to the launch the ships name was a closely guarded secret. Job No. 534 was named Queen Mary'. Until the moment when Queen Mary gave her own name to the vessel she was launching. Photograph showing, Queen Mary and King George V in a glass covered royal box on the lauching platform. Queen Mary over a microphone revealing the name of the long-kepted secret pronouncing the words: "I am happy to name this ship Queen Mary. I wish Good Luck to all who sail in her."
