Louis Paulhan (1883 - 1963), pioneering French aviator. Louis seated in his French biplane Farman III, at a competition at Blackpool in September 1909, flown by Henry Farman who built the aircraft and second by Louis Paulhan, winning first and third prizes for distance flown and first and second prizes in the speed contest
