The Miraculous Draught of Fishes, after Raphael
The Miraculous Draught of Fishes, after a cartoon for a tapestry by Raphael, Italian renaissance artist. At the time the cartoon was in an exhibition at Hampton Court, West London. It shows the New Testament story when Christ tells Peter to cast his net into the water, which results in a miraculous catch of many fishes; metaphorically, Peter's role was that of "fisher of men", converting others to Christianity
