New Gaiety Theatre, The Strand, London
This theatre on the corner of the Aldwych and the Strand, London, opened on 21 December 1868. The principal entrance and foyer in the Strand was the site of the Strand Music Hall, demolished in 1866. The building seen here was a rebuild which opened in 1903 as the New Gaiety Theatre. It closed in 1939, and was demolished in 1956
