Peter I The Great (Pyotr Alexeyevich Romanov), Tsar of Russia (1672-1725, reigned from 1682) during his fact-finding visit to Holland, seen here in his lodgings at Zaandam, where he studied shipbuilding. The house where he stayed is now a museum, the Czar Peter House.~~
