Psyche and Cerberus - Edmund Dulac
Psyche, on her way to visit Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, encounters the three-headed monster Cerberus, who she distracts with a honey cake. Things get worse after this as her mission is to ask Persephone to give some of her beauty for Aphrodite who has grown tired and old nursing her son, Eros (this is all Psyche's fault as she dared to look upon Eros and spilt some hot oil on him - careless). However, what with being Queen of the Dead and all that, Persephone gives Psyche a casket of Death
